Origin Agritech Ltd. (NASDAQ: SEED) (the "Company" or "Origin"), an agriculture technology and rural e-commerce company, today announced that Ms. Fei Wang will join the Company's Board of Directors as an independent board member.  

Ms. Fei Wang (Faye), 41, currently serves as Global Finance Director of UTStarcom Holdings Corp. ("UTStarcom"), a provider of broadband equipment and solutions listed on NASDAQ. Ms. Wang has served in various financial functions, including Investor Relation Director in UTStarcom since 2011. Prior to UTStarcom, Ms. Wang had more than seven years financial experience in several publically listed multinational companies based in the United States. Ms. Wang received her master's degree in Financial Accountancy from the Rutgers University and her bachelor's degree in Accounting from City University of New York. Ms. Wang is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
