Today, Indigo announces the appointment of Jennifer Betka as Chief Marketing Officer. As Indigo’s first CMO, Betka will develop Indigo’s global brand.
Betka has global brand-building expertise, stewarding the growth and evolution of category-leading consumer brands over the past two decades. Most recently, under Betka’s leadership, StubHub was elevated from a secondary ticketing platform to a champion of unique experiences, operating as the world’s leading ticket marketplace in more than 40 countries.
“Throughout my career, I have been committed to brands that enrich people’s lives,” Betka said. “Indigo is making a vast impact at a time when the effects of climate change have shifted conversation to action. By bridging consumers’ desire for transparency and access to healthier food choices with products and services that accelerate the adoption of more sustainable growing practices, this company has introduced a complex portfolio of solutions that touch the entire supply chain. This, in itself, creates a unique and exciting brand opportunity.”
“Indigo is bringing together stakeholders from across the agriculture industry, including farmers, buyers, and consumers, to drive a more efficient and aligned food system,” said David Perry, Indigo’s President and CEO. “Stitching together our story and conveying the value of Indigo’s pursuits requires an adept marketer, one that understands the complexity of the services Indigo offers, the good that we can deliver, while exhibiting empathy to the many voices of our constituents. Jennifer exudes this understanding and spirit.”
As always, we thank you for supporting us as we strive for a new kind of agriculture – one that prioritizes grower profitability, environmental sustainability, and consumer health.
