Australian OGTR - New application forms for GMO licence variations

Australia
January 31, 2019

The Gene Technology Regulator has issued GMO licence variation application forms for both dealings involving intentional release (DIR) and dealings not involving intentional release (DNIR) applications. The DNIR variation application form is more complex and so is accompanied by a guidance document designed to assist with completing the form.

The new application forms are intended to capture all the information required to assess a proposed licence variation, to avoid delays in processing the application caused by requests for additional information.

To make transition to the new forms easier, the Regulator will continue to accept licence variation applications by email until 31 March 2019.

If you have any specific queries please contact the OGTR on free call 1800 181 030 or by email.
