United Kingdom - Withdrawal dates confirmed for neonicotinoids

On 27 April 2018, the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed voted to adopt restricting the three neonicotinoid active substances: imidacloprid, clothianidin and thiamethoxam to greenhouse use only. All outdoor use, including seed treatment, will be banned after 19 December 2018.
The withdrawal date for the authorisation for sale and distrubition of existing stocks of the neonicotinoids: imidacloprid, clothianidin and thiamethoxam, has been confirmed as 19 September 2018.
The authorisation for disposal, storage and use of existing stocks ends on 19 December 2018.
