Good practices for vegetable seed production - ISF Vegetable Seed Production Group and APSA Vegetable & Ornamentals Special Interest Group join forces to develop a guide on good practices for healthy vegetable seed production
October 2020
The ISF Vegetable Seed Production Group and APSA Vegetable & Ornamentals Special Interest Group joined forces to develop a guide on good practices for healthy vegetable seed production. The guideline describes best practices for seed production globally and the two organizations encourage their member-companies to adopt these practices to reduce the risk of disease establishment in seed production.
These practices also describe the use of contracts, refraining from child labor and establishing track and trace procedures. It gives some basic, but not exhaustive recommendations on how to produce healthy seeds. This document is a supplement to the earlier adopted “Vegetable Seed Production Good Practice Guide” that ensures the integrity of the production chain from stock seed to commercial seeds focusing on intellectual property.
The guide is available for download here.
