By Stacy Hasegawa, Germains Seed Technology

Whether you are practicing organic or conventional cultivation methods, biological seed treatments are playing an increased role in the field which includes .  In fact, recent studies note that more conventional growers are opting to incorporate softer biological chemistries for crop protection. Our certified organic biological seed treatments offer a broad spectrum of controls that help growers overcome diseases and crop protection during the early growth stage. Some countries require that seeds be treated with biologicals to prevent the spread of pathogens from one region to another.

Providing Biological Seed Treatments Since 2009

In 2009, Germains was the first to introduce T-22™ seed treatment to North America and Mexico.  T-22 has become one of the most popular organic biological seed treatments that meets Mexico’s Agriculture Ministry (SARGAPA) phytosanitary requirements for exporting seeds to Mexico. Germains continues to work in close collaboration with SAGARPA and AMSAC (Asociación Mexicana de Semilleros) to ensure the seeds we process continue to meet Mexico’s phytosanitary requirements and prevent export delays.  By 2012, Actinovate and Mycostop were added to our organic portfolio.
