Illinois Soybean Association and Burrus Seed present regional soybean advice event

Jacksonville, Illinois, USA
January 12m, 2018

This winter, ILSoyAdvisor is “going local” with a brand-new series of learning opportunities spread out across the state. The Better Beans Series is comprised of regional events offering soybean growers the chance to connect with crop consultants, agronomists, industry representatives and fellow growers.

Sponsored by the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff program, ILSoyAdvisor has partnered with Burrus Seed to host a Better Beans Series meeting on February 1 at Hamilton’s Catering in Jacksonville, IL. The half-day event will run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will offer free registration, breakfast and lunch.

Certified crop advisors (CCAs) can also earn four continuing education units for attending.

“We started this series because of the diversity of issues that soybean growers face in different parts of Illinois,” says Dan Davidson, ISA director of strategic research. “We hope this series will offer targeted advice for regional issues and will help growers increase their profitability.”

The agenda offers valuable learning and networking opportunities to serve each individual grower’s specific regional needs. In addition to presentations from local experts, there will also be a question and answer session with a panel of local growers and experts. Dr. Fred Below from the University of Illinois and Ron Krausz from Southern Illinois University Carbondale will both present.

The event is free to Illinois growers, agronomists, and others in the soybean production industry. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot by registering online at ilsoy.org/betterbeans or calling 888-826-4011.
