Arysta LifeScience, Vive Crop Protection win Agrow "Best Industry Collaboration" award - Collaborative effort results in new in-furrow crop protection products

Cary, North Carolina, USA and Toronto, Ontario, Canada
November 2, 2017

Arysta LifeScience and Vive Crop Protection won the "Best Industry Collaboration" award at the tenth Agrow Awards, presented Monday, October 20, 2017, in London, UK. The award recognizes a successful partnership between two companies in the crop protection or plant biotechnology arena.

The companies' winning expertise helped bring TEPERA® Fungicide and TEPERA PLUS Fungicide + Insecticide to market for the 2017 growing season. The 2015 collaboration features the polymer-based Allosperse® Delivery System from Vive combined with proprietary fluoxastrobin fungicide chemistry from Arysta LifeScience. TEPERA and TEPERA PLUS (containing bifenthrin) are liquid-fertilizer-compatible products used in-furrow.

"Arysta LifeScience and Vive Crop Protection recognized the need for an in-furrow product with best-in-class fertilizer compatability that would meet corn and soybean growers' increasing demands for early-season disease and insect protection, while providing overall plant health benefits," said Keith Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, Vive Crop Protection. "The result – TEPERA and TEPERA PLUS – meets that need, helping farmers combat even the toughest disease and insect pressure in their crops before plants even emerge."

Both companies recognize the importance of ongoing collaboration to bring new technologies to the agricultural field.

"Partnerships like the one we have with Vive are one of the smartest ways to bring innovative tools to our grower-customers, and represent agriculture's future," said Rico Christensen, President, North America + Australia/New Zealand, Arysta LifeScience. "Our two companies currently are co-developing additional products using Vive's Allosperse Delivery System with unique active ingredients from Arysta LifeScience, creating even more possibilities for growers around the world."
