Industry veteran named ADAMA Area Business Manager for Ontario, Canada

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
February 3, 2017

ADAMA continues to attract top-level talent from across the industry, with their newest team member, Chris Meier, bringing over 25 years of experience, accumulated from over a few ag organizations. Meier is ADAMA Canada’s new Area Business Manager, and will be dedicated to a recently created territory encompassing Ontario.

Most recently the Sales and Marketing Manager for Quality Seeds, Meier’s former employers include Novozymes BioAg Ltd., Garst Seeds and Syngenta Seeds to name just a few. He says his passion for Ag came naturally. Born and raised on his family’s farm, Chris still resides on a farm today.

“When you get born into it, it’s in your gut,” says Meier. “Farmers just have this knack for looking after the land.”

Part of what attracted Chris to ADAMA is its commitment to doing things differently, and that holds true for Meier as well — for him, that means supporting retailers with a hands-on approach.

“I’m an old school type of guy,” says Meier. “I like to have face-to-face conversations with customers. You get a better feel for the goals they’re striving for and the challenges they’re trying to tackle.”

Based out of Belgrave, Ontario, Meier’s role will be to develop and manage sales and operations and, most importantly, continue working relationships with retailers, many of whom he already knows well.

We’re excited for Chris’ to bring his expertise to the ADAMA team.
