DuPont Pioneer is pleased to announce that as part of its Full Belly! Full Mind! initiative that supports nutrition and breakfast programs across Canada, $10,000 has been donated to Ontario Student Nutrition Program Grey Bruce.
The grant will specifically be used toward the purchase of food for breakfast programs at 73 schools in Grey and Bruce counties. Pioneer sales representatives and employees from the area, endorsed the grant.
"We are happy to contribute to the health and well-being of the children of our community, and ensure that our future leaders learn to their potential," says Troy Hamilton, account manager at DuPont Pioneer.
"40 percent of elementary and 65 percent of secondary school students in the Grey Bruce area attend school each day without a healthy breakfast," says Beverlee Gateman, Community Program Manager at Ontario Student Nutrition Program Grey Bruce. "The grant by DuPont Pioneer will help us provide breakfast to 13,000 children, in 73 elementary and secondary schools in the area."
