Irland - Seedtech’s Quadra, Garrus and Husky top the 2017 Department of Agriculture Winter Cereal Recommended Lists

Please see attached Department of Agriculture recommended Lists 2017, published this week.

All of the following varieties are available from Seedtech for this autumn sowing.

Highest yielding Winter barley – Quadra (available from Seedtech)

Highest yielding winter barley on DAFM Rec. Lists 2017 & 2016, maintaining its 7% (0.7 t/ha) yield advantage over 2-row barleys.
Superior disease resistance, especially Rhyncho, Net Blotch and mildew.

Tried and trusted Winter barley – Volume (available from Seedtech)

Second highest yielding winter barley on DAFM Rec. List 2017.
Well proven under Irish conditions and offers consistency and high yields across soil types and seasons.

Highest yielding Winter wheat – Garrus (available from Seedtech)

Highest yielding winter wheat on DAFM Rec. List 2017 and DAFM Early Drilled trials 2015, 2016 & 2017.
Especially suited to early drilling as slow internal development, good straw and disease characteristics.

Highest yielding Winter oat – Husky (available from Seedtech)

Highest yielding winter oat on DAFM Rec. List 2017 with excellent grain quality.
Excellent disease characteristics and a dual winter/spring oat.
