The CommBeBiz projects consortium awards the innovation potential of Iden Biotechnology in bioeconomy research. Once a year, CommBeBiz awards the most exciting developments in bioeconomy research with a coaching prize – the CommBeBiz Business Awards.

This year we are proud to announce that our project “BioAgriBooster: Agrobiological products for crop production improvement, a novel approach towards a sustainable agriculture” is among the CommBeBiz Business Awards winners! BioAgriBooster, a project aiming to develop and market innovative plant biostimulant products for agriculture, was also granted with European funds in the Phase 1 SME instrument in 2015 and selected for a seal of excellence in Phase 2 in 2016. With this recent CommBeBiz Award 2016 the project innovation and the market potential of the derived products are again recognized by a specialized organization.

A European jury of technology and innovation specialists, nominated through the CommBeBiz EU-funded project, selected our research project as one of the most promising for progression to innovation. The CommBeBiz project (funded by the European Commission, Horizon 2020, KBBE Programme and co-ordinated by Minerva Communications UK Ltd) provides a bridge from bioeconomy research to business, and for social innovation. CommBeBiz works with FP7 and H2020 project partners at all stages of their ideas and research development to enable more effective and speedier transfer of knowledge to the marketplace, to policy-players and for the public good targeting five specialist bioeconomy segments: Food, Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, and Biotechnology.

The award consists of customized coaching to analyze the market and social innovation potential of our winning project, as well as analysis of individual business plans with our research team. Iden Biotechnology will be participating also in the Awards Ceremony during the EBN Congress in Portugal where our delegates will be very proud to pitch our project on the 30th of September 2016!
