Iden Biotechnology granted key patents in China, USA and Europe - Patents providing protection on crop improvement technologies

The State Intellectual Property Office of China, the United States Patent Office and the European Patent Office have granted Iden Biotechnology key patents in the field of Crop Improvement.

More precisely, SIPO (State Intellectual Property Office of China) has granted a patent on the use of a glycogen phosphorylase enzyme for increasing starch content and yield, which is one of Iden Biotechnology’s proprietary technologies. The company has demonstrated the utility of the technology in field trials in crops like potato and maize.

USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) and EPO (European Patent Office) have granted a patent on a technology that allows the production of plants with resistance to low-temperature stress.Iden Biotechnology is the owner of the license to this technology which was originally developed by the Universities of Barcelona and Valencia.

These patents add to the Company’s patent portfolio, which includes granted and pending patents in USA, Europe, India, China, Japan and additional territories.
