Seed enhancement company Incotec has entered into an official agreement with leading Bangladeshi seed player 'BRAC (Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee). Within the agreement the parties will work together and share knowledge in the field of seed film coating technology.
Incotec India and BRAC sign agreement. From right to left: Mr. Afzal Hossain (Chairman of Canary Ltd), Dr. Manish Patel (Director of Incotec India) and Mr. Sudhir Chandra Nath (Head of Seed Enterprise BRAC) signing the official agreement.
BRAC is an international non-governmental development organization based in Bangladesh. It is 70-80% self-funded and its aim is to eradicate poverty. This is the first time in Bangladesh, that a private sector seed player has become involved in such novel seed enhancement technology. Last season BRAC introduced coating technology for their hybrid rice and hybrid corn seeds and the response from Bangla farmers is overwhelming.
This agreement will ensure a successful roll out of seed film coating technology on BRAC genetics in years to come as well as close cooperation and sharing of know-how between BRAC and Incotec.
As importing & distributing agent for Incotec in Bangladesh, Canary Ltd is responsible for marketing and development of Incotec seed enhancement technology in the region.
