DuPont Pioneer congratulates winners of 2015 Western Canadian Yield Challenge contest - Winners achieved impressive yields in canola and corn

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
December 16, 2015

DuPont Pioneer today announced the 15 winners of  the 2015 Western Canadian Proving Ground™ Yield contest who used Pioneer® brand seed products to reach peak yields and maximize their productivity.

The highest yields recorded as part of the 2015 contest were an impressive 116 bushels per acre for canola in Saskatchewan and 200 bushels per acre for corn in Manitoba.

"Pioneer® brand products have consistently provided high yields in Western Canada since Pioneer® brand canola with the Pioneer Protector® traits were launched eight years ago, and this year is no different," said Greg Stokke, business director for Western Canada at DuPont Pioneer. "The outstanding performance of our products demonstrates the value of DuPont Pioneer's elite germplasm, traits and technologies, and our commitment to the growers in Western Canada."

"DuPont Pioneer backs its top performing products with a team of experienced and knowledgeable agronomists and sales representatives to help ensure that we have the best possible canola seed for each acre we plant," said Florian Hagmann, a Pioneer customer from Birch Hills, SK who achieved an astounding 116 bushels per acre using Pioneer® hybrid 45H33 canola treated with DuPont™ Lumiderm™ seed treatment on his plot.  "Not only did we have a great yield on the plot, the field averaged over 100 bu/ac," Florian adds.
