Braving the heavy rain generated from Hurricane Patricia, over 25 growers from the Florida region attended the BayerCrop Science Vegetable Seeds watermelon field day event at 4-Star Tomato Fields in Myakka City, Florida.
Grower’s dedication to the Nunhems brand was evident from their attendance while braving the weather. This first time event showcased 26 varieties of watermelon portfolio, while highlighting some of the strongest varieties for the Florida region. It was an opportunity for growers to view, taste and discuss with Sales Specialist the strengths of our products for the field and market. In addition, a Yeti Cooler raffle and BBQ lunch were provided.
Russ Beckman, Watermelon & Melon Sales Specialist, discussing our watermelon portfolio with customers.
“Field events are a unique and special opportunity to connect with our customers on a professional, as well as, a personal level. The relaxed environment of a field day is an ideal format to learn about our customers and how to connect our product to their needs. The seed industry is highly competitive, but I was really impressed with our customer’s commitment to Nunhems varieties! This event was an excellent example of our highlighting the strengths of our products, as well as, our strengths as a team unit.” Beth Ruman, Sales Specialist for Watermelon & Melon.
