During trade fair Seed meets Technology three symposia will take place from September 22nd – 24th. The topics are, in chronological order: green chemistry, hydroponic cultivation and phenotyping. The programme of the symposia consists of subject specific lectures and presentations by professionals from the exhibiting companies of Seed meets Technology. All events take place at the grounds of Proeftuin Zwaagdijk. Each day after the lectures, lecturers are available to answer questions and discuss presented techniques and products.

September 22nd – ‘Green chemistry to enhance seeds’
The symposium ‘Green chemistry to enhance seeds’ is organized by Incotec. During the event Rob Baas, senior researcher at Incotec, will be presenting Incotec’s sustainable ‘work in progress’. The programme starts at 13.00 o’clock on the grounds of Proeftuin Zwaagdijk and presentations will be in English.
September 23rd – ‘Hydroponic cultivation’
The hydroponics symposium offers a complete programme. In four lectures you are updated on the latest (inter)national developments in hydroponics and you have learned about the latest systems for cultivation on water. The programme starts at 13.00 o’clock and can be followed in both Dutch and English.
September 24th – ‘Next generation phenotyping in practice’
‘Next generation phenotyping in practice’ is organised by Proeftuin Zwaagdijk, Gitzels Breeding Services, Aris BV, Flier Systems and SeedTuning. The programme starts at 13.30 o’clock and is particularly interesting for breeders, researchers, trial field managers and managers of the germination lab. Lectures and presentations are in English.
