BASF is hosting AgCelence® Academy, a live, online panel focusing on crop production and using fungicides in Western Canada. AgCelence Academy brings experienced growers from across the prairies together to offer advice and share experiences to help educate other growers on fungicide best practices and the benefits of AgCelence (seen in such products as Headline®, Twinline®, Insure® Cereal seed treatment and new Priaxor® fungicide).
“At BASF, we believe part of growers’ profitable growth now and in the future includes a commitment to sharing knowledge,” said Jason Leitch, Fungicide Brand Manager at BASF Canada. “We’ve gathered growers who have demonstrated a similar commitment and have a high level of expertise in getting the most out of every acre to act as our ‘faculty’. BASF is proud to give growers the opportunity to share their expertise with others online through the AgCelence Academy.”
AgCelence Academy is an innovative online panel series that features Canadian growers as the ‘faculty’ to answer real time questions through Twitter and discuss fungicide best practices. Kevin Stewart, professional speaker, will moderate each class, introduce the faculty and direct questions, speakers and topics.
This spring AgCelence Academy will cover the following topics:
- Starting the season off right with seed treatments
- Using multiple modes of action for optimum results
- Building cereal yield at flag leaf timing and protecting that investment at heading
- Adding fungicides to canola herbicides to help build bigger, healthier crops
The next AgCelence Academy class will take place Thursday, April 2 2015 at noon CST at agsolutions.ca/agcelenceacademy. Tweet your questions about using fungicides with multiple modes of action during the class to @BASFAgSolutions using the hashtag #AgCelenceAcademy. For those unable to attend, each episode will be available following the class.
