Plant Health Care plc, ("PHC"), a leading provider of novel patent-protected biological products to global agriculture markets, is pleased to announce several changes to its Board.
Dr. Christopher Richards, formerly Non-Executive Chairman of PHC, will become Executive Chairman with effect from 1 April 2015. Dr. Richards will lend support to the management team in developing strategy and in investor relations as the Company pursues new growth opportunities.
The Company is also pleased to welcome William ("Bill") M. Lewis, who will join the Company as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 April 2015. Mr. Lewis, 54, is currently President and CEO of Summit Agro USA, LLC, an agro chemical joint venture between Sumitomo Corporation and ISK Biosciences. Between 2006 and 2013, Mr. Lewis held senior roles within Arysta LifeScience, having previously worked at Syngenta Crop Protection (2000 - 2005) and held international roles at Zeneca/ICI (1984 - 2000). Mr. Lewis is also currently a Director of Four L's Enterprises Inc. and Four L's Real Estate Holding Company LLC.
Also, as previously announced, Dr. Richard H. Webb, formerly a Non-Executive Director, became an Executive Director of Plant Health Care plc as of 1 January 2015. Dr. Webb is now responsible for supporting our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Zhongmin Wei, as the company continues to expand its research and development programme. Dr. Webb will step down from the Audit Committee after the firm's annual general meeting and is being replaced by James Ede-Golightly, who joined the Audit Committee on 16 January 2015.
