Canada - Adama's new Topnotch fungicide provides broad-spectrum disease control in cereals

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
March 19, 2015

Adama Canada launches Topnotch™ fungicide for use in wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale. Topnotch contains a new combination of the active ingredients azoxystrobin and propiconazole in a unique formulation. With two modes of action, Topnotch provides proven, broad-spectrum protection against cereal leaf diseases, and has the added benefit of improved resistance management.

“Topnotch delivers preventative disease control to help the crop reach its full yield potential. It moves throughout the plant through systemic xylem mobility to provide uniform protection against disease, even to new growth,” says Kevin Jacobson, Canadian Portfolio Manager with Adama at Winnipeg.

In cereals, Topnotch provides protection against rusts, tan spot, net blotch, scald, powdery mildew and Septoria leaf spot. By protecting the flag leaf from disease, cereal crops have a better opportunity for seed set and kernel fill for higher yields and better test weight.

Topnotch is packaged in two 8.6 L jugs per case to conveniently treat 80 acres per case. It can be tank-mixed with several different herbicides, insecticides and fungicides to eliminate extra costly field passes.
