BASF announced today at the Agri-Trade exposition in Red Deer, Alberta, that maximum residue limits (MRLs) have been established for the use of Heat® and Heat LQ herbicides for pre-harvest applications on canola.
Heat LQ provides growers with a brand new tool to help facilitate straight cutting canola for more control of timing and resources at harvest.
“BASF is committed to providing canola growers with the tools and solutions that help them produce a better crop,” said Danielle Eastman, Brand Manager, Western Herbicides, for BASF Canada. “Heat LQ herbicide tank-mixed with glyphosate provides fast, complete crop and weed drydown to help growers to straight cut their canola and helps with field cleanup for next year.”
For other crops registered on the Heat label for pre-harvest use, growers should consult with the processing and exporting companies that they plan to sell their crops to before finalizing harvest aid/desiccant decisions to ensure the marketability of the crop.
