LemnaTec announces new team


Aachen, Germany

After 16 years in business for image processing in biology and providing our customers a platform for phenotyping/genotyping prospect this year, LemnaTec will take a big step forward to strengthen customer relationships and flank its success in phenotyping/genotyping endeavors.

Striving to base our common growth further from August on we will have 12 new team members:

  • Dr. Tino Dornbusch (tino.dornbusch@lemnatec.com) was most recently a postdoc at Université de Lausanne, working on Phenotyping of Arabidopsis using the Scanalyzer platform. He will work as Application Expert at LemnaTec
     
  • Dr. Marcus Jansen (marcus.jansen@lemnatec.com) has worked several years for Jülich Plant Phenotyping Centre- JPPC and will be doing international Business Development
     
  • Dipl.-Inf. Stefan Paulus (Stefan.paulus@lemnatec.com) will join in October. He has worked for CROP.SENSe.net in the last couple of years and was involved in the following projects
    • “Low-Cost 3D Systems: Suitable Tools for Plant Phenotyping, Sensors”,
    • “Limits of Active Laser Triangulation as an Instrument for High Precision Plant Imaging, Sensors”,
    • “High-precision laser scanning system for capturing 3D plant architecture and analyzing growth of cereal plants”
  • Bernd Neufeld (Master of mechatronic engineer) (bernd.neufeld@lemnatec.com) is our new international service engineer. Bernd has worked in the automation industry for 20 years.
     
  • MBA Michael Klahr (michael.klahr@lemnatec.com) will take over our finance department and will work as CFO
     
  • Dipl.-Inf. Christopher Schardt (christopher.schardt@lemnatec.com) joins our Software developing team and adds additional knowledge in image processing for plants to our team
     
  • Angelika Graf (Angelika.Graf@lemnatec.com) is our new Marketing Manager and will be responsible for organizing PhenoDays 2014
     
  • Diego Canabal (diego.canabal@lemnatec.com) has 15 years of experience in Sales and will join our sales group in August
     
  • Dipl Ing. Stephan Finken (stephan.finken@lemnatec.com) is our new Senior electronic engineer. Stephan has worked in the industry for 10 years and will mainly focus on integrating new sensors in our Scanalyzer Platform

Finally we have also setup a trainee program and this year we have:

  • Julian Bludau
  • Julia Opgen-Rhein
  • Felix Gilleßen

After 16 years with LemnaTec my brother Dr. Jörg Vandenhirtz is leaving LemnaTec since he is looking for new challenges outside the company.

I hope with the new team we can enhance our service and customer relationships, and the whole team is looking very much forward to work together with you.
