Brian Reed has joined Burrus Hybrids as sales manager for southern Illinois. Reed will have overall responsibility for Burrus regional sales managers in that area and development of customer relation management tools. The announcement was made by Tom Burrus, president of Burrus Hybrids.
“Brian is a versatile, high-caliber leader who brings training expertise, sales direction, and grain experience to the Burrus dealer network,” said Burrus. “His background and strategic ideas are a perfect match for the innovative hybrids and technology that we offer. Plus, Brian values our culture as an independent, farm-family owned company. Our dealers and customers will benefit greatly from his skill set.”
Previously with Cargill for five years, Reed held sales and sales recruiting positions, receiving numerous awards in those areas. He also served in management positions for nine years with Sherwin-Williams and Hughes Supply Co.
“Burrus Hybrids will be aggressively developing CRM tools to support our customers even more fully,” said Burrus. “With the addition of Brian to lead that effort, we have gained a tremendous advantage in terms of our knowledge base and also accelerated delivery time of those tools. It’s an exciting time at Burrus.”
