Vice Minister Yu Xinrong met with Paul Schickler, President of DuPont Pioneer on October 11, 2012. The two sides exchanged views on further deepening bilateral cooperation.
Yu introduced the latest development of agriculture and rural economy in China. He pointed out that China will make determined efforts to enhance agricultural S&T research and extension, and improve the comprehensive agricultural productivity constantly. Yu stressed that since the global financial crisis has imposed many challenges and uncertainties to agriculture sector, a strengthened cooperation and partnership between countries is essential to effectively address the challenges and achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes. The Chinese side agreed on the "Inclusive Innovation" concept initiated by DuPont Pioneer, and would like to see its robust success in Chinese market following its law-abiding, integrity and win-win strategy.
President Schickler expressed appreciation to MOA and other competent authorities for their substantial support, and emphasized that as a company devoted to the agriculture sector, DuPont Pioneer would like to intensify cooperation with China and make positive contributions to China's modern agriculture development.
