‘BIG’ is Beautiful!
Welcome to the next generation of begonias…
100 years of begonia breeding is a BIG deal, and to celebrate this monumental achievement, Benary is proud to introduce the new ‘BIG’ begonia series. With all of the hype over tropical varieties, ornamental grasses and vegetative annuals, you may ask why you should be excited about a new begonia variety. After all, a begonia is a begonia isn’t it? ….Well, not exactly….
We used the name BIG for obvious reasons; the name really says it all. BIG color, BIG performance, and even BIGger show in the landscape. Performing from full sun to full shade and any combination in between, the huge flowers and vigorous habit of this series make it standout in any landscape location.
Reaching heights of 18-20” in the landscape, and spreading 12-15”, the ‘BIG’ series is so vigorous that you will use half the plant material and receive double the flower power of any other annual on the market.
Intensive breeding also ensures that disease problems are a thing of the past.
The ‘BIG’ series has large, arching flower stems which hold the flowers in large clusters over the foliage. The long, arching stems ensure that spent petals are dropped onto the ground, rather than into the crown of the plant, which greatly reduces the risk of disease.
Trust us; this new series will revolutionize how you look at annual color for-ever. Three colors: Red with Green Leaf, Red with Bronze Leaf, and Rose with Bronze Leaf ensure that there is a color for any landscape setting.
Growers interested in adding the ‘BIG’ series to their product assortment should contact their broker or sales representative for more information. For a complete listing of brokers, log on to our website: www.benary.com.
