Seed industry veteran Jeremie Parr of Belle Plaine, Iowa, joined Renze Seeds on August 2, 2011, as a district sales manager in east central Iowa. Parr has been employed in the agriculture industry since 1993 and has been in the seed industry since 1997.
“I like the fact Renze seems like the customers’ ally out there in the field,” Parr noted. “They help cut the confusion in the marketplace and know who they are. I have known about Renze for a while and feel comfortable with the way they do business.” As a seedsman, he enjoys working in the seed industry, working with farmers in the ever-changing environment and helping them find the best solution possible. Parr is also a Certified Crop Advisor.
“In this era we’re in now, you have to be aligned with somebody and certainly having the power of Dow AgroSciences behind you is a positive for everybody involved – from the company to the grower,” Parr commented.
With a focus on the unique needs of the growers in this region as well as a product line with excellent hybrids and varieties for east central Iowa, Parr is enthusiastic about his new responsibilities. “I’m looking forward to getting out there, introducing Renze to the people who haven’t heard about them. I think they’re a well kept secret,” he concluded.
Dan Swalla, sales and marketing manager for Renze Seeds, said Parr will be a valuable addition to their team. “Jeremie brings not only seed industry experience to his role with Renze but a desire to do the right thing for his customers. We are glad to have him on our team and representing Renze Seeds,” Swalla explained.
