Clotilde POLDERMAN-ROUSSILLE becomes CEO of GEVES from 1 May 2025.
She succeeds Alain TRIDON, who is retiring. Since 2019, Alain TRIDON has played a decisive role in positioning GEVES at national and international level, as formalised in the GEVES Ambition 2030 strategic note. He has made a major contribution to strengthening R&D policy and regulatory activities, as well as consolidating the security of GEVES’s infrastructure and business model. I would like to express my deep gratitude to Alain TRIDON for his commitment and energy, which have enabled GEVES to strengthen and assert its role as a European leader.
At GEVES, Clotilde Polderman-Roussille headed the National Seed Testing Station (SNES) for 5 years, after holding the position of Development & Marketing Manager with the CEO. In her previous career, she worked in the Research Department of the University of Angers and in the pharmaceutical industry for 14 years. All her experience has enabled her to develop strategic and operational skills in demanding sectors in terms of research, quality and regulation.
At a time when a renewed European regulatory framework is being prepared, the basis of GEVES’s activity, and in view of the crucial issues facing the seed industry, Clotilde POLDERMAN-ROUSSILLE will endeavour to strengthen GEVES’s role in supporting public policy with the French authorities. She will also help to confirm GEVES’ leadership on the international stage and step up the deployment of R&D to support innovation, particularly in response to the agro-ecological transition and climate change.
Clotilde POLDERMAN-ROUSSILLE is aware that the strength of GEVES lies in each and every one of the men and women who work there, all of whom are dedicated and passionate experts. She will be leading this group by implementing continuous improvement, efficiency, sustainability and securing the economic model.

Clotilde Polderman-Roussille, nouvelle Directrice Générale du GEVES
Clotilde POLDERMAN-ROUSSILLE devient directrice générale du GEVES à compter du 1er mai 2025.
Elle succède à Alain TRIDON qui fait valoir ses droits à la retraite. Depuis 2019, Alain TRIDON a joué un rôle déterminant dans le positionnement du GEVES aux plans national et international, formalisé dans la note stratégique GEVES Ambition 2030. Il a fortement contribué au renforcement de la politique R&D et des activités réglementaires, ainsi qu’à la consolidation de la sécurisation des infrastructures et du modèle économique du GEVES. Je tiens à exprimer ma profonde gratitude à Alain TRIDON pour son engagement et son énergie qui ont permis au GEVES de se renforcer et d’affirmer son rôle de leader européen.
Au sein du GEVES, Clotilde POLDERMAN-ROUSSILLE a dirigé pendant 5 ans la Station Nationale d’Essais de Semences (SNES), après avoir exercé les fonctions de Responsable Développement & Marketing auprès de la direction générale. Lors de son parcours antérieur, elle a travaillé au sein de la direction de la Recherche de l’Université d’Angers et dans l’industrie pharmaceutique pendant 14 ans. L’ensemble de son expérience lui a permis de développer des compétences stratégiques et opérationnelles dans des secteurs exigeants en termes de recherche, qualité et réglementation.
A l’heure où se prépare un cadre règlementaire européen renouvelé, fondement de l’activité du GEVES, et face aux enjeux pressants auxquels la filière semences est confrontée, Clotilde POLDERMAN-ROUSSILLE s’attachera à renforcer le rôle d’appui aux politiques publiques du GEVES auprès des autorités françaises. Elle contribuera également à confirmer le leadership du GEVES sur la scène internationale et intensifiera le déploiement de la R&D pour soutenir l’innovation, notamment en réponse à la transition agroécologique et au changement climatique.
Consciente que la force du GEVES réside dans chacune des femmes et des hommes qui y travaillent et qui sont autant d’experts investis et passionnés, Clotilde POLDERMAN-ROUSSILLE dirigera ce collectif en déployant des démarches d’amélioration continue, d’efficacité, de durabilité et de sécurisation du modèle économique.
Je lui souhaite un plein succès et épanouissement dans ses nouvelles responsabilités.
