Syngenta Flowers' portfolio captivates at Flower Show in Delhi, India

February 19, 2025

On February 7 and 8, Syngenta Flowers opened its doors for a Flower Show in Garh Mukteshwar, Delhi Area. At Jain Agro Greens in Uttar Pradesh, the India team of Syngenta displayed its full portfolio to more than 120 growers from all parts of India. Word of mouth spread like wildfire in the days before the event, convincing growers to travel great distances from the National Capital Region to see innovations in the Syngenta Flowers portfolio.

Next to many professional flower growers, several industry stakeholders attended the Flower Show. Mr. Mukul Tyagi, the General Secretary of the Indian Nurserymen Association attended the show. “We are very impressed by the assortment, flower and plant quality and the way this event has been conducted. We are happy to support the team in similar initiatives in future.”

One of the flagship products in the Syngenta Flowers portfolio is the Cora XDR series vincas. This wide range of colors holds the highest resistance against areal phytophthora in the market, as is confirmed by independent scientific institutes. Cora XDR is the Catharanthus roseus for growers who want to protect themselves against the risk of losing the entire product against disease pressure.

In Impatiens Walleriana growers can choose for the wide color range of Athena from the Floranova brand or go for the premium solution with Imara XDR. The Imara XDR has a high level of resistance against downy mildew allowing it to be planted in humid areas.

Flower Show Delhi 2025Technical Sales Manager Anurodh Singh is explaining the advantages of more innovative petunia types, like the petunia milliflora FlashForward. This extremely floriferous trailing petunia type is less daylength sensitive and can be produced quick, even under short days. The series is suitable for larger pots, hanging baskets as well as landscape applications with a color range of 11 colors and a mix.

The gazania portfolio is divided into Kiss, Big Kiss and Frosty Kiss. The latter has a nice grey silver foliage.

Since decades Syngenta Flowers is known for its marigold varieties Inca and Inca II. During the Flower Show it was proved again why Inca and Inca II are still the absolute benchmark for the southern Asian markets.

In the Antirrhinum majus portfolio Syngenta Flowers highlighted the Snaptini for bedding and landscaping and Overture as the variety that can be used in the garden as well as a cut flower, with a vase life of 12 days.

Organizing a Flower Show in the North of India early February gave Syngenta Flowers the unique opportunity to showcase its versatile portfolio in cool crops that are popular in India. Dianthus (barbatus F1) is a large crop in India. The compact sweet-william type Barbarini is a true perennial, which makes it very winter hardy and colorful in the first year. Growers looking for more floriferousness in the season will find the Super Parfait and Venti Parfait to their liking. Especially the Venti Parfait holds mega-sized showstopping booms that cover the plant completely.

In the pansies (viola x wittrockiana) the global top seller Delta Pro attracts many growers. But many are also captivated by the extremely large-flowered Colossus. Colossus gets its name from its giant flowers that stand on short sturdy stems and can stand heat and humidity. Where many pansies suffer from stretching, the Colossus provides a tight non-stretching habit all the way into the late spring and from early fall markets.
