September 5, 2024

Grains Australia is pleased to announce that the Oat Varietal Classification Technical Committee has classified InterGrain’s oat variety Minnie (assessed as 15010-09) as a milling oat, under the new National Oat Variety Classification Framework.

Minnie is a mid-slow maturity oat variety, with short stature, that is suited to medium and high rainfall zones in Australia.

Grains Australia congratulates InterGrain that has worked to bring this variety to the marketplace and acknowledges the South Australian Research and Development Institute’s early generation oat breeding and the Grains Research and Development Corporation’s investment in oat breeding.

The Grains Australia oat milling varieties list is available at grainsaustralia.com.au.
