The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) has awarded the third certification under its Certified Biostimulant Program to Valent BioSciences for its Transit® 500 biostimulant. The newly launched Certified Biostimulant Program recognizes biostimulant products that have undergone positive reviews of efficacy data, composition, research, safety, and testing methods by TFI and third-party reviewers to confirm adherence to the United States Biostimulant Industry Guidelines.
“We are excited to announce that Valent BioSciences’ Transit 500 biostimulant has been recognized as a Certified Biostimulant by TFI,” said TFI President and CEO Corey Rosenbusch. “Biostimulant products have been shown to promote nutrient uptake, stress tolerance, and overall plant health and vigor. The Certified Biostimulant Program was established to provide a standard for these products and ensure growers and retailers will be able to confidently select the right solutions to fit their programs.”
Transit 500 is a liquid biostimulant that improves tolerance to and recovery from abiotic stress, enhances fertilizer efficiencies, and increases nutrient uptake, all of which aid the plant’s ability to improve root and shoot growth. As a biostimulant certified under the Biostimulant Certification Program, Transit 500 will receive a distinctive label to indicate conformance with the outlined standards.
“Valent BioSciences is committed to providing reliable, effective biostimulant solutions to our customers,” said Maria Herrero, Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs for Valent BioSciences. “The Certified Biostimulant Program provides a standard for assessing products, and customers can be confident their biostimulant choices have been well researched and held to the highest industry standards. We are excited to be one of the first certifications awarded under the Certified Biostimulant Program and look forward to seeing how this program will enhance the recognition and understanding of biostimulants throughout the industry.”
