Washington, DC, USA
July 17, 2024
NIFA announces an investment of $8 million for 16 projects that address the Physiology of Agricultural Plants Program (A1152). This program area priority within NIFA’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative advances research to improve plant production, critical to the sustainability and competitiveness of United States agriculture. Future improvements to production systems require a better understanding of inter-related factors affecting agricultural plants and their nutritional quality, water-and nutrient-use efficiency, and resilience to climate variability. This program supports research that addresses these needs at the molecular, cellular, biochemical, and whole-organism levels.
