Marjolein Willeboordse - van Noorloos will join the Board of Directors of the Royal Barenbrug Group. As of July 1, she will take over the responsibilities of René van Raan, who will retire after almost 32 years of working within the family business, including the last 14 years as a member of the Board of Directors.
Marjolein joins Royal Barenbrug Group from the listed company AkzoNobel, where she most recently held the position of Global Finance Director Manufacturing. She has broad international expertise in financial control, IT, compliance, reporting and post-merger integration.
Before joining AkzoNobel, Marjolein held various financial positions at VodafoneZiggo, including Senior Business Controller, Director Corporate Control, and Director Finance Operations.
With the appointment of Marjolein, Barenbrug adds new expertise and competencies to its four-member Board of Directors. She will work closely with René van Raan during the first three months of her tenure to ensure a smooth handover.

Marjolein Willeboordse-van Noorloos treedt toe aan de Raad van Bestuur van Koninklijke Barenbrug Group
Per 1 april 2023 zal Marjolein Willeboordse-van Noorloos toetreden tot de Raad van Bestuur van de Koninklijke Barenbrug Groep. Zij zal met ingang van 1 juli de taken overnemen van René van Raan die dan, na bijna 32 jaar bij het familiebedrijf werkzaam te zijn geweest, waarvan de laatste 14 jaar als lid van de Raad van Bestuur, met pensioen zal gaan.
Marjolein komt van het beursgenoteerde AkzoNobel, waar zij meest recent de rol van Global Finance Director Manufacturing heeft bekleed. Ze heeft brede internationale expertise op het gebied van financial control, IT, compliance, reporting, post merger integration en ERP-implementatie.
Alvorens actief te worden bij AkzoNobel heeft Marjolein verschillende financiële functies vervuld bij VodafoneZiggo, waaronder Senior Business Controller, Director Corporate Control en Director Finance Operations.
Met de aanstelling van Marjolein voegt Barenbrug nieuwe expertise en competenties toe aan haar vierhoofdige Raad van Bestuur. Zij zal gedurende de eerste drie maanden nauw samenwerken met René van Raan in het kader van overdracht.
