Autumn 2022 saw the harvesting of around 15,000 pounds of Romaine lettuce destined for the food banks of Northeast USA. All grown from seeds pelleted by Incotec. This seed coating was a pilot trial to see how the Incotec technology can positively impact the operations of not-for-profit organization, ‘America’s Grow-a-Row’ (AGAR).
America’s Grow-a-Row is a charity based in New Jersey that donates 10 million servings of farm fresh produce annually to food banks, soup kitchens, and food pantries across Northeast USA. The charity has been awarded a grant of 50,000 pounds from the Croda Foundation – an independent charitable company set up by Incotec's parent company Croda. With Croda Foundation support, this project is acquiring seeds, and pelleting technology and know-how provided by Incotec increases yields to provide even more food for those facing food insecurity.

Zaadpillering helpt voedselonzekerheid bestrijden
In de herfst van 2022 werd ongeveer 15.000 pond Romeinse sla geoogst, bestemd voor de voedselbanken in het noordoosten van de VS. Allemaal geteeld uit zaden die door Incotec werden gepillerd. Dit was een proef om te zien hoe de Incotec-technologie de activiteiten van non-profitorganisatie ‘America’s Grow-a-Row’ (AGAR) positief kan beïnvloeden.
America's Grow-a-Row is een liefdadigheidsinstelling uit New Jersey die jaarlijks 10 miljoen porties verse producten schenkt aan voedselbanken in het noordoosten van de VS. De instelling heeft een subsidie van 50.000 Britse ponden ontvangen van de Croda Foundation - een onafhankelijke instelling die door Croda is opgericht. Met de steun van de Croda Foundation koopt AGAR zaden, waarbij de door Incotec geleverde pillleertechnologie en knowhow de opbrengst nog verhoogt zodat nog meer voedsel kan worden verstrekt aan mensen met voedselonzekerheid.
