XtendFlex cotton: Major field event at Bayer's Locharba Research Station, New South Wales
Australia
March 6, 2023
On 15 February, growers, agronomists and industry experts gathered at the Bayer Locharba Research Station in Narrabri, NSW, for an update on XtendFlex cotton.
The day included an overview of what has been achieved to date from Bayer, CSIRO, Cotton Seed Distributors (CSD) and Cotton Australia, as well as testimonials from growers about their experience growing XtendFlex cotton.
Attendees were taken out into the field where they saw the results of weed efficacy trials, best practice weed management tips and stewardship guidance, led by the Bayer market development and research teams.
The Bayer team also delivered the exciting news that XtendFlex cotton has now been approved for import into China. This marks an important milestone in the ongoing process of making the technology commercially available to Australian cotton growers.
