Monsanto renews subscription to Ariadne’s Pathway Studio software

Rockville, Maryland, USA
January 30, 2011

Ariadne announces today that Monsanto Company has renewed a multi-site license agreement for use of Pathway Studio Enterprise software. The agreement also provides Monsanto with customized software and data components.

“Ariadne is honored to work with leaders in plant biology both in commercial companies like Monsanto and in academia. Pathway Studio’s open architecture and ability to rapidly build data resources to support analysis for commercially valuable plants and model organisms is of unique benefit to these researchers, and can help them develop insights to plant diseases and crop traits” stated Ilya Mazo, President of Ariadne.

Pathway Studio’s Enterprise software allows researchers to work collaboratively on research projects and to integrate their experimental findings with the state of science to build and test hypotheses. Open interfaces allow organizations to integrate traditional, genomics, and proprietary data resources for analysis and interpretation.

Ariadne, a leader in research data products and knowledge enrichment-based software solutions, helps pharmaceutical and life science researchers tap known scientific knowledge for applications in systems biology and translational medicine. We provide a portfolio of solutions for life science, drug discovery, agricultural, and development applications including custom data products, knowledge extraction and visualization software, knowledge reports, and informatics staffing.

Pathway Studio, built and powered by MedScan® technology, is integrated data mining and visualization software that allows organizations and researchers to rapidly extract relevant facts and relationships from large document collections (text-mining), build focused knowledgebases (databases), while supporting the integration of OMICS experiments. The extracted knowledge is used in an interactive scaffold for defining and testing in silico-based hypotheses across a wide range of disciplines including mechanistic modelling of disease, drug action and toxicity, as well as biomarker discovery, cellular and network pathway building, protein-protein interactions and many more.

Pathway Studio is available in desktop and enterprise versions along with therapeutic-focused knowledgebases and cartridges.
