In response to the success of existing AGT varieties and a rapidly increasing portfolio of wheat, barley, canola and lupin varieties for Western Australia, Floyd Sullivan has been appointed to the role of Variety Support Manger, Southern WA, to work alongside existing Alana Hartley who will continue to support Northern WA.
Floyd is well known in rural circles having worked in both animal health and broadacre supply chains for over 30 years.
From a childhood playing amongst the Fremantle woolstores, to agronomy in Canada via Muresk Institute of Agriculture College International Ag exchange program, Floyd has experienced many agricultural roles. He now brings that accumulated knowledge to AGT. He is passionate about empowering grain growers with the knowledge they need to maximise their return on investment, and has big plans to share this with growers in Western Australia. “I believe my biggest asset is having a new perspective on the issues that face the modern grower” Floyd said. “And being able to communicate that through my extensive network of contacts on behalf of a market leader such as AGT is really exciting”.

Dan Vater, Head of Variety Support, Marketing and Communications at AGT said the company was fortunate to get someone of Floyds calibre.
“As part of our commitment to serving Australian farmers the best we can, we recently identified the need for more feet on the ground in WA to help promote our varieties and brand, and have been extremely lucky to gain Floyd’s services,” Dan said. “Floyd knows Western Australian farming better than almost anyone, gained over 30 years of experience working across varied roles within the ag sector. Floyd has a great ability to connect with people and to tell a story and share ideas, and his passion for agriculture is infectious. We look forward to working with Floyd and welcome him to the AGT team.”
