Nuseed Carinata team presents at Southeast Partnership for Advanced Renewables from Carinata (SPARC) Summit

Australia
July 5, 2022

There’s intense interest in sustainably growing non-food Nuseed Carinata for low-carbon energy feedstock between primary crops. Nuseed owns the proprietary brassica carinata technology assets and germplasm, there are however extensive research collaborations underway in the U.S., Argentina, and Europe with university and extension programs.

The primary U.S. R&D collaboration is with the Southeast Partnership for Advanced Renewables from Carinata (SPARC), a group dedicated to removing constraints to growing carinata in the Southeast US and working to support stable markets for bioproducts. The collaboration was initiated by the crop’s developer with university and government advocates and continues today with Nuseed.

Recently SPARC held the ninth annual Carinata Summit, and invited Nuseed’s Rick Bennett, Glenn Johnston, and Sebastian Bravo to present during the two-day conference held in Gainesville, Florida. Both Rick, who serves on the Summit Planning Committee, and Glenn have been involved since the SPARC collaboration started almost a decade ago.
