A new date for the Plant Phenotyping Workshop has been fixed. The workshop will now take place online on 6-8 July, 2021.
This short participative workshop will be oriented toward practical aspects of plant phenotyping with inexpensive, yet robust, minicomputers coupled with small cameras. Each important step, from system installation, network deploying, time lapse acquisition, image processing, machine learning and data analysis will be illustrated with talks and hands on. The target audience are tech-minded biologists and engineers in charge of phenotyping trials from academic or private companies

During the 3-day workshop, Computomics CEO Dr. Sebastian Schultheiss is going to speak about the importance of large-scale phenotyping and genotyping as essential part to fully leverage the advantages of machine learning. Currently phenotyping is rarely automated and still costs much more than genotyping. With Computomics CropScore solution it is possible to phenotype hundreds of thousands of plants simultaneously. That way, machine learning algorithms can be effectively applied.
