An advisors insight into hybrid barley Agronomy - James Hickey of Glanbia looks at management of Hybrid Barley with Tim O'Donovan, Technical Director, Seedtech

After a very hard winter, we speak with James Hickey, Glanbia who reflects on crops in his area and how he plans to manage Hybrid Barley in the next few weeks. He also tells us why he recommended to the farmer, to use Hybrid Barley on his farm.  

The starting point for excellent fertiliser advice, is a soil sample and James explains how he recommended a tailored compound, to suit this crop of BELFRY with added trace elements. 

James also outlines his Nitrogen strategy and how he sees the splits being applied and when.
