October 9, 2018

AgriThority®, an agricultural science consultancy specializing in accelerating new technologies to commercialization in markets around the world, announces the addition of Dr. Ryan Dierking as Research Scientist.

Dr. Dierking is a proven research manager with expertise in planning, execution and delivery of efficient field development programs including protocol development and implementation, data collection, trial reporting and analysis.

He has a track record of successfully replicating field trials across multiple locations while maintaining consistency in implementation and evaluation. Dr. Dierking has strong technical expertise in a broad range of row crops and bioenergy crops, including corn, sorghum, soybean, wheat and forage.

As an AgriThority Research Scientist, he will be responsible for developing, implementing and reporting field testing programs vital to the stringent performance evaluation of clients' products and technologies. In addition, he will use his strong analytical skills to maximize understanding of a product or technology's features, advantages and benefits, and its usefulness on the farm.

"Ryan has demonstrated robust technical expertise to lead product development programs in addition to project management skills and risk management experience to efficiently and accurately test new technologies and evaluate product performance," says Dr. Marco Toapanta, AgriThority Global Director - Science & Technology. "His technical and business perspective will provide clients a better understanding of their technology or product and its potential uses and benefits in the marketplace."

Prior to joining AgriThority, Dr. Dierking was the Field Research and Development Project Manager at Actagro, where he was responsible for managing all research-related activities in the Midwest. During that time, Dr. Dierking co-authored a patent related to semi-humic organic carbon material for agricultural use with nitrogen. He previously worked at Purdue University as a postdoctoral researcher and studied second generation bioenergy feedstock agronomics and nutrient use.

Dr. Dierking attended the University of Missouri - Columbia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in agronomy and a Master of Science and a doctoral degree in plant science. From his time at Purdue and the University of Missouri he has authored eight peer-reviewed journal publications. He grew up on his family farm near New Haven, Missouri, and is still active raising registered Red Angus cattle with his family.
