Craig Padley, LSPB’s pulse and oilseeds breeder, adds that the company has further winter and spring peas in the pipeline as breeders work hard to bring new varieties to the UK market: “Next in line is a high-yielding marrowfat variety which is currently a NL2 candidate. We have high hopes that in the future this will build further on the improved yield, field characteristics and marketability we offer with Campus.”
