Wyffels Hybrids is proud to announce the addition of Mike Witt as its new Agronomy Manager, a move that underscores the company’s ongoing investment in agronomic expertise and farmer success.
Mike brings a wealth of experience and passion for corn production to Wyffels. Born and raised on a small farm in Northern Iowa, Mike earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education and a Master’s degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University. His career spans more than 25 years, including 15 years in the seed industry focused on corn breeding research, genetic trait integration, and managing extensive corn yield trials worldwide, followed by a decade as a Field Agronomist at Iowa State University, where he worked directly with farmers to solve agronomic challenges and improve productivity.
“I look forward to sharing my seed corn experience and knowledge with everyone in the Wyffels family,” said Witt. “Helping farmers succeed has always been my passion, and I’m excited to continue that mission with Wyffels.”
This strategic hire reflects Wyffels Hybrids’ commitment to growth and innovation in agronomy. By expanding its team of agronomy managers, Wyffels ensures farmers receive the best support, insights, and solutions to maximize performance and profitability.
“Agronomy is at the heart of what we do,” said John Wyffels, President and third-generation leader of the largest family-owned seed company focused exclusively on corn. “Bringing in experts like Mike Witt demonstrates our dedication to providing farmers with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed. We’re investing in people who share our passion for helping farmers achieve more.”
