Verdant Partners is pleased to announce that seasoned M&A professionals Marijn Hendrickx and George Helsby have joined the firm effective January 1, 2026. This addition meaningfully expands Verdant’s capabilities across a broader suite of corporate finance and M&A advisory services, strengthens the firm’s sector expertise, and solidifies its international presence in the global agrifood value chain. Marijn and George will be based in Leiden, Netherlands, further enhancing Verdant’s ability to support clients across Europe and other key markets.

Marijn Hendrickx
Director
Mr. Hendrickx brings 18 years of experience working with global food and agribusiness companies. He has advised both early-stage startups and large multinational corporations, developing a deep understanding of international food and agricultural markets through project experience across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Marijn will strengthen Verdant's transaction execution, financial modeling, corporate finance and growth capital, valuations, and industry analysis. Prior to joining Verdant Partners, Marijn spent 10 years at Rabobank and over 8 years with TerraProtein Equity Partners. He holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management from Tilburg University.

George Helsby
Senior Associate
Mr. Helsby brings over 5 years of experience working with global food and agribusiness companies. He has worked across a broad range of corporate finance roles in the agrifood industry, with notable expertise in the dairy and animal protein segments. George will add strong capabilities to Verdant's financial modeling, valuations, industry analysis and transaction execution. Prior to joining Verdant, George held positions with Ernst & Young in New Zealand, Fonterra, and TerraProtein Equity Partners. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance with a minor in Computer Science from Long Island University - Brooklyn.
