It’s crunch time: Solving the world’s nutritional crisis through increased produce consumption
July 21, 2021
The world is facing a nutritional crisis. Only a fraction of the global population consumes the daily amount of fruits and vegetables they need for a healthy life. It’s a problem with long-term consequences—and it’s already affecting millions. Many people can’t access fresh produce. Others simply choose not to. And it’s never been more challenging for farmers to grow fruits and vegetables and transport them where they need to be.
That’s why, in support of the UN’s International Year of Fruits & Vegetables, Bayer is convening a virtual panel of experts from across the food chain to explore ways to address these evolving challenges. Tune in as Inci Dannenberg, Head of Global Vegetable Seeds, moderates the conversation to explore the insights and ideas from the industry’s brightest minds as they come together to find ways we can all collectively help make fresh produce more accessible and appealing to everyone, everywhere.
