Agriculture Victoria Services Pty Ltd (AVS) commercialises technologies developed by the Victorian Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI) Research Divisions in the areas of agriculture and natural resource management. AVS also acts as agents for DEPI in the provision of contract R&D for commercial organisations, conducted by world-leading DEPI scientists, in areas such as plant and animal improvement; animal and plant production; animal nutrition; health and welfare; functional foods; disease diagnosis for animals and plants; integrated farm systems; soil; water and plant analysis; food safety; land suitability assessment; management and mapping; and pest and weed control; groundwater salinity investigations; waste management; organic and inorganic analytical chemistry.
