Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to: 

  • Responsible for overall management of corn stock seed production, reporting to the Global Supply Lead – Large Seed.
  • Responsible for successful foundation and stock seed planning, allocating, in season inspection, hand pollinating, and harvesting of both the stock seed and foundation seed productions.
  • Collaborate with the commercial Area Production Managers, Field Production Representatives as well as the Sweet Corn Plant Breeders
  • Directly supervisor the Stock Seed Technician
  • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of all equipment related to the stock seed department
  • Responsible for full knowledge of and administration of safety protocols for the stock seed team and for other local stakeholders

Required knowledge & skills:

  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Able to travel extensively to local areas and work daily during peak planting, crop management and harvesting periods.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in seed production

•    Walking on uneven ground up to 6 to 8 miles daily in temperatures often exceeding 90 degrees F, and beyond 100 degrees F at times.
