We are seeking a professional like you to join our team as a Research Technician at our BASF NA Soybean Breeding program at Seymour, IL. The Research Technician will support the program in developing commercial soybean varieties by carrying out critical day to day activities as directed by site management.

During your time as a Research Technician you will…

• Process/Package seed and plant trials in the field
• Conducting Field, Plot and equipment maintenance
• Data collection including but not limited to soil and tissue sampling, note taking, and drone operation.
• Harvest and process materials from the field
• Oversee part-time and temporary help
• Adhere to all site safety and stewardship guideline

If you...

• Have a High School Diploma plus at least 6 years of relevant experience in an agriculture research related field.
• Basic understanding of Agriculture & Research.
• Successful track record of working well within a team
• Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Be able to handle Microsoft Excel and other data and lab equipment
• Ability to lift 50lbs and work in extreme weather conditions (rain, heat, cold)

Pay Transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $28.20 - $36.74. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
