PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Managing, coordinating, developing and improving production in Indonesia (homefarm and grower network) to meet required quantity, quality and timeliness

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: 
The Production Manager Indonesia contributes to the definition of the production tactics for the Indonesia and BUs in/out the region, implements the annual production plans as defined by the seed suppliers, manages existing assets and staff, provides close supervision of production, and proposes new alternatives.

This position is based in Magelang/Central Java, Indonesia

Essentials duties and responsibilities:

• Set up production strategies plan, detail production planning and manage production inside Indonesia both home farm and network production to reach target of quantity, quality, and timeliness
• Crop inspection to achieve maximum seed yields and seed quality under the best possible IP safety guidelines.
• Communicate and exchange production information with production manager in Asia hub
• Exploring new alternatives: areas, vendors, methods, etc. for future production plan
• Create/update production protocol and production cycle for production inside Indonesia
• Organize the training of HM Clause Indonesia production team
• Budgeting: CAPEX and OPEX forecast, management, and control
• Production cost calculation and control
• Stock Seed inventory control
• Summarize seed production work and report

Required knowledge & Skills

• Background in seed business
• Bahasa Indonesia communication with English-speaking is a significant plus
• Experience in manage people/team
• Computer: MS Office

Education & work experience required:

• BS in in Horticultural/Agricultural sciences or similar area minimum, MS preferred
• 3-5 years minimum of experience in vegetable seed production

• Reports to Regional Production Director Asia with dotted line report to Indonesia Country Lead
