Your work…
As an enthusiastic Research Assistant Entomology you will become a member of our Breeding Technology Team in Warmenhuizen and you report to the Project Lead Entomology. You work together with a multidisciplinary team of researchers that aim to accelerate breeding technology and breeding programs. One of our missions will be to increase resistance levels of vegetables against arthropods.
Your activities will include coordination, preparation for and execution of research activities within defined projects, aimed at effectively delivering quality data and reporting of the results.
By coordinating and directing the needed activities for our projects with the available resources, you will ensure the timely delivery of quality data and results. Finally, you are expected to contribute to the improvement of ongoing research activities, and the development of new methods.
Your profile...
- B.Sc. degree in a science related field, preferably in Horticulture, Plant Breeding or Agronomy,
- Affinity or experience with plant-arthropod interactions is a plus,
- A driven, creative, hands-on mentality, must have the ability to work both in a team and independently,
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English (written and oral),
- Flexibility to travel in the Netherlands (drivers licence).
