Project Leader

Location: La Ménitré or Ledenon, France

Reporting to the Research Director of Vilmorin-MKS, you will have to monitor and follow the sanitary status of research stations and to optimize of research seed flows.

Main Duties and Responsabilities :

Following and monitoring the sanitary status of research stations (estimated around 70 % of annual activity)

You:

  • Are responsible for the improvement of good phytosanitary practices on all research stations worldwide,
  • Participate in the evaluation of the health risk of the station in collaboration with the local teams,
  • Develop processes, protocols, tools to continuously improve the phytosanitary practices of all research stations,
  • Set up and monitor indicators to assess the level of risk control,
  • Share with the supervisory research teams any defects or discrepancies observed,
  • Collaborate with the QSE and quality control departments of the Company in the framework of planned audits, follow corrective actions and participate to possible crisis.

Optimization of research seed flows (estimated around 30 % of annual activity)

You:

  • Manage all aspects of seed flows within the Research,
  • Develop processes, protocols, tools to improve the accuracy, quality and efficiency of research seed flows,
  • Supervise the permanent and seasonal staff for the above activities,
  • Are the correspondent of the Limagrain Group for this activity.

In order to carry out your missions, you can rely on the QSE and Quality Control departments of the Company.

Education and work experience required :

  • MS degree in Agronomy / Agriculture (5 after high school), with experience in pathology, quality management system, quality control,
  • Through this experience, you will be comfortable in your relations with the scientific staff, the persons in charge of the quality, the contact persons in charge of the monitoring of the regulation at the world wide level. An experience of several years in the quality procedures and the knowledge of plant pathology will be appreciated,
  • This cross-domains position will develop your qualities as project manager,
  • Experience in the international seed industry welcome,
  • Fluent English and Spanish is required for this position.

This position will require frequent worldwide travel.

Full year permanent position located in La Ménitré (France, Loire Valley) or in Ledenon (South of France), starting November 1st, 2017.
